Thomas M. Gabriel, M.D. earned his undergraduate degree and medical education at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. He completed his Orthopaedic Surgery Residency Training Program at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana and his Hand and Microsurgery Fellowship at Medical College of Wisconsin. Dr. Gabriel is board certified in both hand surgery and orthopaedics by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and a member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand. Dr. Gabriel served four years in the US Navy as Lieutenant Commander. He was Chief of the Hand and Upper Extremity Services at National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland and Ireland Army Hospital in Fort Knox, Kentucky. He is an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Louisville, as well as a Staff Orthopaedic Hand Surgeon at the Commission for Children with Special Health Care Needs.
